Dreamcatcher
02:05
|
|||
I go to places everybody forgets. Walking on ground where nobody steps. I wonder why I should bother at all. I seem unable to answer the call and when time is up did I do enough or did I waste my time dreaming this stuff. I walk around in a world of my own. Live in a dream where I am alone and when you're asleep I touch the ceiling. I know it's a fact, I am not dreaming. These things that I say you know you can trust. Just look at my fingers they're covered with dust. There is nothing beyond the horizon. There is nothing beyond the trees. There is nothing beyond the horizon except what you dream.

Shoulder the Blame
02:17
|
|||
Find someone else who can shoulder the blame. You still find a reason/excuse to complain till you think it's all over but it's starting all over. There is a source but you can't seem to find. Perhaps it is best if you leave it behind till you think it's all over but it's starting all over. There was a time when you were free enough to smile. There was a time when everyone was worth your while. Now there's darkness round the corners of your heart and there's something there that's tearing you apart. I'm not too sure how to turn this around you're screaming inside but you don't make a sound till you think it's all over, but it's starting all over.

The Things I Could Find
01:20
|
|||
Here is a box of the things I could find which I will exhibit if you wouldn't mind. It's helpful to know there's a place you can go to see all these things if you should choose so.
I wonder the story of each of these things. I wonder the memory that each of them brings. Time passes on but these things remain and this is the box where they are contained.
A dishcloth, a photograph, a book about war, a wristwatch, a calendar from '74, a toy car, a diamond ring, an old TV Guide, a newspaper clipping of an old man who died.
I wonder the story of each of these things. I wonder the memory that each of them brings. Time passes on but these things remain and this is the box where they are contained.

Nothing Is Enough
01:58
|
|||
There is a wave that's come over me and I can't prepare.
The things that I see you've put on the screen is everyone scared?
At first I don't mind but then I find I'm never relaxed.
There doesn't seem any relief could ever work fast
Calling it progress Poison the mind This is the Future Falling behind
Oh say can you see the way before me when I turn off the screen
Cause I can't believe the things that I see when you're behind the screen
I long to be free but that couldn't be while you are in charge.
Enough is enough is nothing enough I'm throwing my cards.
Calling it progress Poison the mind This is the Future Falling behind

No End In Sight
02:21
|
|||
Goodbye to all your words of bitterness
The times whenever you didn't make the list
Cause all the stars are out tonight
And I don't want to hear you fight no not tonight
Farewell to all your former enemies
For now there's a whole world of friends to meet
And the shell you hid behind
Still can't protect your mind no not tonight
All your bitterness didn't nothing to assist
But to put you in a place you can't exist
Nothing's happening where nothing's lost or gained
With no end in sight and all is unexplained.
So long to all the things you'll leave behind
For now it is the time to free your mind
Goodbye.

Plenty of Light
02:35
|
|||
Hey now there’s plenty of light come and see. Everyone’s drifting about lost at sea. All that you carry about weighs you down and when you put it aside, who’s around?
And the last thing you should do is forget the things you’ve done. And the last thing you should know is the first thing you were taught.
Hey when you’re in disbelief are you real? All of the things that you speak, do you feel? All of the things that you seek can you see? All of the things that you want, can you be?
And the last thing you should do is forget the things you’ve done. And the last thing you should know is the first thing you were taught.

Company Man
01:54
|
|||
I used to know him back when he had a brain... before they took him away to be trained...and now he's back but he isn't the same... now he's a company man, etc, and he's doing things right. He's got a logo on the side of his van... give us a call and we'll do what we can... he's never home but his kids understand... that he's a company man, etc, and he's doing things right.

First it up, then it’s down, then it’s flat, then it’s round, then it’s short, then it’s tall, then it’s big, then it’s small , then it’s dark, then it’s bright, then it’s day, then it’s night, then it’s warm, then it’s cold, then it’s new , then it’s old You could be a part of the shape of things to come. Shine your love down on everyone. First it’s dark, then it’s light, then it’s day, then it’s night, then it’s cold, then it’s warm, then it’s nothing at all You could be a part of the shape of things to come. Shine your love down on everyone

The Thing From the Swamp
01:23
|
|||
Here’s the place that you’ve been seeking. Pitch a tent, settle down for the night. In the swamp there is something creeping. Wonder if we should turn on a light? Did you hear that I heard something. I guess we’d better go and check it out. I’ll be back in just a minute. You stay here it will be alright. I wonder if we should go check on him. He’s been gone for quite a while. It’s been an hour and he’s not here yet. Set the phone to auto-dial. It will be alright.

In the Wash
02:04
|
|||
Someone else tried walking in your shoes. Read about him yesterday in the news. Broken down and causing great concern. Wonder what the lesson is we can learn. All your instincts washed away, all your reflex washed away nothing concrete here to stay all you are is washed away. Everybody likes to tell you what to do. They don’t have a clue where you’re going to, think they know just who it is you should be. I believe in something they can’t see All your instincts washed away, all your reflex washed away nothing concrete here to stay all you are is washed away

In The Till
04:43
|
|||
I hope you're begging my pardon
For what you're trying to say
I feel like the jaws of a lion
are going to be coming your way
I don't want to hear your excuses
I don't want to hear your complaints
The ring in your ear as you've made it clear
You test the very love of the saints
No real sign of emotion
You couldn't even tell us your name
No petty sign of devotion
There aren't any rules to your game
I don't want to hear your excuses
I don't want to hear your complaints
The ring in your ear as you've made it clear
You test the very love of the saints
I guess that it becomes a habit
You've always got your hand in the till
I wonder someday if you'll change your ways
I wonder someday if I will
